The word “fat” has become
taboo over the years, but fat is a major component of keeping
our bodies efficient and healthy. Come learn why consuming
fat is important, specifically looking at omega-3 fatty acids.
Omega-3 fatty acids cannot be made within the body, meaning
they must be consumed in the diet. Rachel Niermann, dietitian
with Blanchard Valley Hospital, will discuss the role of omega-3
fatty acids, food sources, the use of supplements, and how
to incorporate it into your daily diet. Advance registration
required by October 30. Limited space. Free.
