Activities

To sort through the calendar to find different types of event, click on the “categories” button in the top left corner. A drop down list of categories will be displayed and when one of them is clicked, only events from that category will be shown on the calendar.

While using this calendar, you can view the calendar in a number of different ways. To do this, click on the “month” button. Another drop down list will appear and you may then choose your preferred view of the calendar.

NASA: The Space Race

Monday, July 23, 1:00pm. In 1957, the Soviet Union put the first man made object, Sputnik, into orbit around the Earth. A month later Sputnik II, carried the first space traveler, Laika the dog, causing shock around the world and the Space Race began. Neil Armstrong Museum presents. Advance registration and $2 fee required by July 19.
