Come learn why consuming fat is important, specifically looking at omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids cannot be made within the body, meaning they must be consumed in the diet. Rachel Niermann, dietitian with Blanchard Valley Hospital, will discuss the role of omega-3 fatty acids, food sources, the use of supplements, and how to incorporate it into your daily diet. SilverSneakers® Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
