Activities

To sort through the calendar to find different types of event, click on the “categories” button in the top left corner. A drop down list of categories will be displayed and when one of them is clicked, only events from that category will be shown on the calendar.

While using this calendar, you can view the calendar in a number of different ways. To do this, click on the “month” button. Another drop down list will appear and you may then choose your preferred view of the calendar.

The word “fat” has become taboo over the years, but fat is a major component of keeping our bodies efficient and healthy. Come learn why consuming fat is important, specifically looking at omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids cannot be made within the body, meaning they must be consumed in the diet. Rachel Niermann, dietitian with Blanchard Valley Hospital, will discuss the role of omega-3 fatty acids, food sources, the use of supplements, and how to incorporate it into your daily diet. Session one – paint the wooden turkey centerpiece. Session two – complete assembly using a straw wreath form with burlap ribbons pinned to the form to create a nesting place for your turkey and additional plumage.
