To sort through the calendar to find different types of event, click on the “categories” button in the top left corner. A drop down list of categories will be displayed and when one of them is clicked, only events from that category will be shown on the calendar.

Healthy U: Diabetes Self-Management Program

This 6-weeks series is a self-management workshop for those
with Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes. The interactive workshop
was developed by researchers at Stanford and is presented by
Area Agency on Aging Lima Health Education professionals.
Find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue, hyper/hypoglycemia,                                                                                                                                                 stress, depression, anger, fear and frustration. You will also
discuss exercise, healthy eating, medications and how to work

Participants receive a comprehensive workbook, which
provides a thorough review of the “rules of the road” with an
emphasis on safety strategies for older drivers. The course
also covers normal changes in vision, hearing, and reaction
time associated with aging, and provides practical techniques
to adjust for these changes. Most insurance companies in Ohio
offer a premium discount to people who have completed this
AARP Driver Safety Course. Participants should contact their

“Hidden in Plain Sight” Trailer Community Event

You are invited to experience Hidden In Plain Sight, an interactive presentation that provides parents, grandparents, and caregivers an opportunity to walk through and explore a mock set-up of a child’s bedroom and look for and identify signs of drug use. Adults report that they are not equipped to effectively address these issues and help their children receive necessary care to prevent serious consequences. Children are 50% less likely to use drugs when a parent or trusted adult talks with about drug use. This is in conjunction with The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Findlay Police, and Hancock County Community Partnership.
