Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to help serve food, bring food from the kitchen out to the serving table and to clear off tables between 10:15 am to 1:30pm weekdays.
The program is growing fast and we need volunteer drivers to ensure we continue serving all home bound seniors who need our service. Deliveries are made by volunteers weekdays over the lunch hours.
Help pack mobile meals for delivery weekdays 9:30 to 11:00am.
We are looking for volunteer drivers for this much needed program. Seniors call in grocery orders which are filled by local vendors, picked up by drivers and delivered to the seniors’ homes. Volunteers then return the client’s payment to the store.
Have a special skill or craft you would be willing to teach others? Would you like to give a program on an interesting topic? We may have an opportunity for you.
Help prepare salad bar (cutting fruits and vegetables).
Do you like to sing, play a musical instrument or both? Consider participating in our very own kitchen band ‘the Millstream Rhythm Band’. The group practices Wednesdays at 1:30 pm and a desire to have fun is a must!  Teach an instrument to a group eager to learn to play.
Seeking individuals who will be trained to serve as volunteer guardians for community seniors who have no one else to help them with basic life decisions including decisions involving medical care and living arrangements.
