ENRICH LIVES, SUPPORT INDEPENDENCE
Why Not Be a Part of Helping Hancock County Adults?
Join us as we commit to the “Golden Rule” of being generous to others.
Your support will help us provide, mobile meals, grocery delivery, lunch in our Café, light chores, in-home visits by licensed social workers, transportation in partnership with HATS, recreational and social programs for individuals 50+ in Hancock County. Your gift helps ensure that those 50+ receive the services they need to enrich their lives and remain living safely in their own homes. We are a local, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.
50 North is funded by the Hancock County program and service levy as well as by the generous donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, community organizations, and program fees.
We value KINDNESS. We treat those we serve with kind acts and understand that kindness evokes more kindness. We believe that the more kindness that exists, the more harmony there is likely to be.
“NO ACT OF KINDNESS, no matter how small, is ever wasted” – Aesop
Thank You For Giving!
Ways you can support our mission:
Annual Giving Fund
Make a gift to specifically fund a service by completing and returning pledge form to 50 North.
Although the levy supports 60% of the current budget, we are seeing and projecting exponential growth of those 50+ due to the aging baby boomer population. Currently there are 20,016 seniors in Hancock County and there are 900 adults turning 65 each year. We need to broaden our financial base so that we may continue to meet the needs of our senior population.
Bequest through your Will, Trust, Estate
A Planned Gift: is part of a thoughtful, comprehensive estate plan. The gift provides a way to complete a lifetime of giving or to make a significant gift that was not possible at an earlier stage of life. Such gifts can also provide advantages such as lifetime income to the donor or others and may offer certain tax benefits. If you have a passion for helping seniors and would like to know more about how you can support 50 North through a charitable gift of any size or from any source, contact Annette Kessler at 419-423-8496. We’d be happy to discuss the many ways you can help. Be sure to consult your tax adviser to investigate how a charitable donation might affect your personal tax situation.
