Activities

To sort through the calendar to find different types of event, click on the “categories” button in the top left corner. A drop down list of categories will be displayed and when one of them is clicked, only events from that category will be shown on the calendar.

While using this calendar, you can view the calendar in a number of different ways. To do this, click on the “month” button. Another drop down list will appear and you may then choose your preferred view of the calendar.

“Wicked” at Stranahan Theater – SOLD OUT

Beyond the Door in German Village

German Village is a historic neighborhood that was primarily
developed and settled by German immigrants between
1840 and 1914. BEYOND THE DOOR IN GERMAN VILLAGE
invites you to explore two of the original private German Village
homes that have been renovated and redesigned by the efforts of
today’s residents. We’ll enjoy lunch at Schmidt’s Banquet Haus
for some true German food and entertainment followed by a
guided tour of Ohio’s capital city.  Afterwards, we travel to
Columbus’ only remaining true public market established in 1876.
More than 30 merchants vend a wide variety of fresh, local,
authentic food, flowers, distinctive gifts, and more. Enjoy dinner
on your own from one of the local vendors.

Historic Roscoe Village

Visit the restored 1800’s canal town
and learn how ROSCOE VILLAGE was once a bustling
cert of commerce on the Ohio & Erie Canal. You’ll visit the
nationally accredited Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum that
features collections of ancient Asian, Native American,
Euro-American and historic Ohio artifacts including the
Newark Holy Stones.  We’ll take a 45-minute canal
boat ride to experience life on the canal during the 1800’s
narrated by the Captain.  Then journey through the
living history exhibits and get a glimpse of life along the canal
in early Roscoe. Have lunch on your own during your
self-guided living history tour.  Finally, we enjoy dinner and
wine at RAVEN’S GLENN WINERY & ITALIAN
RESTAURANT.  Trip fee includes transportation,

“Tecumseh!” Outdoor Drama

We will visit Sugarloaf Mountain for the historic
outdoor drama of “Tecumseh!” The performance depicts the
true epic life story of the Shawnee leader as he struggles to
unite all Native American tribes in an effort to stop the westward
push of the United States and defend his sacred homelands in
the Ohio country during the late 1700’s. We have VIP tickets
which include a Backstage Tour, Terrance Buffet dinner, and
great seats for the performance. Rain insurance is included.

Harry London Chocolate Factory & Stan Hywet Gardens

floor at the HARRY LONDON CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
Gilbert London taught his son, Harry, the fine art of confections
by using recipes and techniques from the family’s strong
European traditions. The tour ends in one of the largest
retail stores in the Midwest. There are over 500 varieties
of gourmet chocolate and candies available for gift-giving
or self-indulgence. Then we will travel to STAN HYWET
GARDENS for a boxed lunch at Mollie’s Café.
Afterwards we will divide into groups for a GRAND ESTATE
TOUR with guided tours of the Tudor Revival Manor House
and 70 acres of artistically landscaped grounds and formal
garden along with self-guided tours of the Gothic Revival
Conservatory and Gate Lodge.
